How the books help
- Your child sees themselves. A child of the same age goes through the same thing. That makes a big feeling smaller and easier to talk about.
- Showing, not preaching. The child in the story finds the solution on their own. So your child feels: I can do that too.
- Talking after reading. Every book ends with a question for your child, and at the back there is a page for you: what the book is about, three questions to talk about and a tip.
Every family belongs: with one parent or two, two mums or two dads, living with Grandma or in two homes. A story is not a treatment; if you are worried about your child, talk to your health visitor or GP.
Choose the moment
